Who is Kira?

Yagami Raito is young, handsome, brilliant and... bored out of his skull. One day, he accidentally picks up a Death note - a 'notebook of death', empowering him to kill anyone by simply writing down their name. Although reluctantly, Raito tries out the Death Note and realizes that whatever it is, it most certainly isn't a prank cooked up by some nutty freshmen at school, but a tool which can be used to change to world. Raito takes it upon himself to rid the world of all evil and vows to become toe god of a new age, where people can live free of terror. Thus, Kira, God of the New World, is born.
